Wavves- King of the Beach
My record player is itching for me to purchase this…definitely one of my favourite albums of 2011. A perfect fit for the summer heat that is about to hit us.
Linus Spacehead- fucking awesome bass intro!
Here is a recent article about a ‘Pecha Kucha’ style event for young creatives that I recently spoke at. Check it uit!
Research + illustration = I can actually tolerate brand strategy
This is an illustration that I am doing for a project at college at the moment. We need to show our research in a more ‘visual’ way, so we decided to personify our client (a bank). The dude on the left is the bank and what people associate the staff to be like and the second dude is a personification of the same bank manager, but as a designer/hipster. The reason for showing the two characters is to demonstrate the gap between the bank’s corporate image and the trendy and creative image of the event that they are currently sponsoring.
It is our aim to turn this bank into more than just a sponsor…they need creative/innovative substance. They cannot continue to 'pose’ as something that they actually are not.
Be your ballie
Here are some photos of a wall piece I did on brown paper for my 21st. I did this for fun, and thought it would be cool to add some of my illustrations to try and cement the theme and humour of the party. The drawings were done with a black marker on standard, cheap rolls of brown paper.
Big thanks to stone colour for taking the pictures!

Poster design for ISTD ‘fakery’ brief on Munchausen syndrome. The poster showcases some of the ways Munchausen by internet sufferers lie and the effort to which they will go to convince the public that they are sick.
The poster is predominantly typographic- due to the nature of ISTD. The type is the focus and the medium in which I have tried to exhibit the way Munchausen sufferers use type to fool others.
